This baby quilt top definitely proves that pink is not the only color for girls (although pink is till very nice)!I finished this rail fence top yesterday and tried out a new spot for taking photos- my fireplace (inspired by Amy's quilt photos on her lovely hutch. The quilting on her beautiful Menemsha Quilt reminded me how much I like fan quilting- perhaps I'll quilt this quilt with fans, too.) It's a great place to take photos, especially of a baby size quilt- about 40" x 48" in this case.
What didn't make it into this photo is a little toddler sized pillow case top- pieced from the trimmings of the strip sets from the rail fence blocks. I'm so excited about this little set! I have a couple families in mind for this, but we'll have to wait until spring to find out if their babies will be girls or not!
