Finished DQS5 Swap Quilt

It finally happened this morning while watching PBS Kids! I combined a bunch of different techniques, not all of them familiar, but ultimately I am happy with the result. The vibrant colors are really pleasing in these dark, cold November days. I hope my swap partner likes it! I have some fun extras to add to the package and then it will go in the mail today.

Here's a view of the back. I realized after I quilted most of it that I could use a different color of bobbin thread so the back would blend more... Sigh. I wish I had more time to rip it out and make it perfect, but I hope the Navajo principle of beautiful imperfection will be appreciated here.

  2. Thanks Sarah! It looked kind of crazy before I trimmed all the threads, but now I think it's fun :-)

  3. Great quilt! I like that you can see the stitching on the back - gives a whole new dimension.
